A new mural in Gainesville created by Andrew Pisacane aka Gaia (USA), “What Are the Aesthetics of Reinvestment,” will be the topic of a panel discussion on Tuesday (Oct. 25) at 6pm in the Civic Media Center (433 S. Main St.). Gaia will then go on to give a visiting artist lecture on Wednesday (Oct. 26) at 6pm in FAB 105. He is also leading two painting mural workshops on Friday (Oct. 28).

Gaia has been commissioned by the 352 Walls Project to paint a mural in Gainesville. Pisacane graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art and is a Baltimore-based street artist. His murals have been commissions for walls in St. Petersburg, Ukraine, Poland, Czechia, New York and now Gainesville.
Panelists will include: Lenny Correa (aka LunarNewYear), artist, teacher, activist and curator; Faye Williams, local activist, organizer and scholar; Monica Compana, artist, curator and founder of Living Walls Atlanta; and Mia Loving, curator and founder of Invisible Majority.
